April 19, 2026Suffering is the shared language of humanity—never chosen, always felt. In this series, we look at Job, a man acquainted with its depths, to understand what pain reveals in our lives. Suffering is not random but should be viewed through the lens of God’s sovereignty. Difficulty is not an obstacle to be avoided, but rather an opportunity to better understand God’s character. Both joy and loss pass through God’s goodness—not to destroy us, but to strip away what is false, dismantle the old, and reveal who we truly are. April 12, 2026There are certainly common experiences that we are all guaranteed to walk through in life. One we do not choose, but somehow finds all of us is suffering. If life is consistent about one thing, it’s delivering hard circumstances for us to walk through. The prevailing question, especially as disciples of Jesus, is, “Where is God in suffering?” In addition, a series of questions often arises as we face adversity: Why does God allow this? Why am I going through it? What am I supposed to do with suffering? Is this part of God’s plan for me? There are thousands of others, but no matter the question, when we think of suffering, humanity, and God’s involvement, we are drawn to the book of Job. April 05, 2026Once a year, people across America pack the church. For many, it’s a glorious day of crowds, beautiful outfits, full stomachs, and busy calendars. But for Jesus, seeing His Church filled is a reminder,“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 7:21 We are not tasked with filling seats, but with the more difficult privilege of filling our hearts with Truth. That Truth is a person, and He sets us free. Not everyone is willing to have their hearts open, transparent, and vulnerable before God, living in true authenticity. That’s the call in Luke 7: the woman who came to Jesus, pouring out not only an alabaster jar of perfume but her whole life to experience the love of God in His forgiveness. We ALL must answer the question regarding Jesus – Who is this? March 15, 2026The Church is filled with so many different people. All of us are at different points in our faith and seasons of life; we are walking through different things and facing different challenges. However, the Word calls us to consider putting the interests of others above our own. When others are rejoicing, we are instructed to rejoice with them. If they are suffering, be with them in their suffering. For when one suffers, we all suffer, and when one member rejoices, we should join in. At any point, there are two groups in our family: those who rejoice and those who weep. February 15, 2026Filling your city with Jesus comes by empowering the willing to come fully alive in God’s presence. This is how cities are being renewed: by first strengthening ourselves in the LORD, then managing our households as greenhouses that cultivate life and multiply into your city where relationships are sovereign, and delivering to them what God has freely given to you. Today, we are looking more closely at the last part of a disciple: one who makes disciples. Seeing your city as a place where you give what God has given you is filling the city. Today, we look at your city and “map” who is in your city, look for the “signs” of what God is already doing, and then “delivery” encouragement and love through sharing our gifts and lives with others. February 08, 2026As we continue the Vision and Mission series, we are discussing the second facet of what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. The first aspect of a disciple is to ‘strengthen yourself in the LORD,’ and the second is to ‘manage your household.’ To manage your household means to be present and active in your personal relationships, seeking their good over your own. The picture we get of a well-managed home goes all the way back to Eden in Genesis. Eden was a place where humans were immersed in God’s Presence, where life was cultivated and multiplied. This same picture is given in today’s home, so we can manage our own greenhouses. Greenhouses have gardens, where each represents individual relationships to maintain and tend the soil. The nutrients in each garden require us to maintain healthy levels of water, fertilizer, seeds, air, and light. In this Holy Transition that is taking us from crowds to commissioned, pregnant to birthing, and acquaintances to intimates, we see what happens in heaven and earth when the church comes together. January 18, 2026We are entering week two of our Vision and Mission series, where we are exploring the realities of our future, today. This week, we are looking at the identity and function of the Church. As we examine the story of Gideon in Judges 6-8, we find a small remnant of 300 people who form an army that defeats their enemies, numbering 135,000, in a decisive yet unorthodox victory. This is the picture of the Church: we are at war against the principalities and rulers of this world, not with human weapons but with those that dismantle strongholds. When we get together, a small group can see a massive multiplication effect in our cities because there is little that can stop the Church. It’s only the absence of godly men and women that allows evil to triumph. The Church is a force to be reckoned with when we come to a full understanding of our true identity, built on revelation and formed to heal, prosper, and build cities. As we take the time to know and clarify where we are, where we’re going, and how we plan on arriving there, it will take all of our family to accomplish the audacious promises God has given us. We are in preparation for war, a time where God is calling us to know that the weapons of our warfare are not flesh and carnal but powerful promises and Truths that break down strongholds of the enemy. January 04, 2026The baptism of the Holy Spirit and fire is not a spiritual accessory designed for charismatic circles; it is God’s appointed means of empowering His people to live and witness beyond human ability. Jesus Himself did not begin His ministry without the Spirit, showing that mission without power is incomplete. Through the baptism of the Holy Spirit, believers receive deeper intimacy with God, boldness for witness, victory over the flesh, strength in prayer, and spiritual gifts to build the Church. This gift is promised by God, but it is received by those who hunger, ask, and depend fully on Him rather than themselves. December 21, 2025This week we continue our close look at the character and nature of God. The prophet Isaiah had a life-changing, dangerous encounter–behind the veil of the temple–with the profoundly holy God of angelic warriors. In this encounter he came undone, believing himself to be doomed simply by being a sinful man in the presence of the King. Then, at an atoning touch, he was radically transformed and joined the mission of God. As we explore the implications of this encounter, we see that a Great High Priest came much later who–in the most extraordinary way–ripped apart the veil, forever changing the way we encounter the very same King. December 14, 2025Our tendency is to read the Bible as if we are the main character. We read it to affirm what we already know, infer our own presence as the hero of the story, and get our ego stroked by false affirmations. Instead, the Word offers another function in reading: it trains, it equips, and it shapes like fire and a hammer. The story of the Prodigal Son in Luke 15 may be better titled if the focus is not on us, but on God. It’s a story about a father who recklessly loves his two sons. He showers the one with unrestrained celebration and offers all he has to the other as an excessive act of mercy. Our hearts are prone to connect with the younger or the older son, but the real connection is to keep our hearts dwelling on the central character of the story, the prodigal’s father. 12-07-25In this message, we explore what God is doing in our generation and how He is calling His people to step into His purposes with clarity, boldness, and surrender. We are called to recognize that God is raising up a new movement marked by holiness, prayer, flexibility, and a readiness for the next outpouring of the Holy Spirit. 11-30-25There is a great deception occurring in the church today. Many assume they are saved, but they are not. Others are saved but live constantly trying to assure themselves of this gift. Today, we are talking about the great gift of salvation that Jesus won for us on the cross. We are an equipping church that gives our people resources to help examine the true life of faith. 11-23-25God uses our weakness and need for community to form us and reveal His glory, and sometimes calls us to embrace our neediness. Just as Paul needed the earthly confirmation of others and begged for prayer despite his spiritual greatness, believers are taught that God’s power is perfected in weakness and that growth and “becoming” often involve suffering and pain, which shouldn’t be resisted, as it is part of God’s plan. 11-09-25The messaging of this world specializes in noise, crowds, and busyness, and we are all surrounded by it. Messages telling you to be more, that you deserve more, and to get what you want. The solution for years has been for us to attempt to suppress those desires, hoping they will go away. Rather than suppression, Thomas Chalmers offers substitution as a solution—substituting a lesser affection with a greater love of Jesus. The best way to do this is by entering the story of Scripture, experiencing Jesus, and keeping the fire of our hearts kindled. 11-02-25We have been in a slow burn series about stewarding the passion and Presence of God in our hearts, like a fire.  Fires do not remain lit by accident; it takes diligence and time and fuel. With every encounter of God’s Presence, there is an equal demand for a response. When God’s Presence comes down to encounter with people, there may be two totally different responses.  One response draws us closer to God, and the other draws us away. How we respond makes the difference in entering more into the heart of God, the will of God, the peace and love of God, as opposed to being bitter, immature, isolated, and weary. 10-26-25There was once a gospel that shook the world around it to its core, turning over societies, bringing a revolt, and inverting the culture. This gospel that was first introduced upon the arrival of Jesus was a seriously offensive gospel, compelling many to forsake their entire life to obtain the one great prize—Jesus. We need to come back to the power and love of this message again, returning not just to its simplicity and genuine call but to the center of the Good News, God Himself. This gospel once pushed so hard on its current society it actively opposed anyone who held its message, to the point of riots, imprisonment, and even death. Paul said that he is not ashamed of that gospel, for it has the power of salvation. God takes this common element and uses it for extraordinary, even supernatural purposes. 09-28-25In light of the state of our hearts and our nation because of a shift that is happening all around us, we are taking a small pause from the Slow Burn series in order to care for our hearts. In preparing for our 7-day fast this week, we are talking about how these present difficulties are working maturity in us. Paul tells the troubled Corinthian church a great parable of the treasure that is inside of our broken bodies. 09-21-25This weekend, we gathered in anticipation to see our hearts fully set free and living in breakthrough. Jesus came to set our hearts free, and we tend to take Him at His Word. We made space to grieve, let our hurting hearts have space to mourn, and most importantly, connect them to a God who will restore us. As we looked through the book of Lamentations, it paralleled much of what we are seeing today: a city that is in ruins. As Jerusalem was in physical ruins, the spiritual condition of our cities is being destroyed by the slow erosion of sin. There is order to Lamentations’ structure, just as there is in our lives, but in the middle of our routines, we are interrupted with pain and disorder that sin brings. Yet in the middle of this poetic and well-ordered book, there is a heart cry of Truth. In 3:22-24, we are reminded that in the middle of the pain, God’s steadfast love never ceases. It’s truths like this that our hearts need to wait on, to listen intently to, so that in chapter 5, we can live out verse 21. Restore us to yourself, O Lord, that we may be restored. 09-14-25Keeping the fire in full flame, the gifts that God has given you are a response to His grace working in you. This week, we look at 2 Timothy again to gain a greater understanding of the grace of God–the activity of God. The grace of God is working inside of you as He reveals to you who He is in Scripture. 09-07-25In preparation for our 24 hours of prayer that will start on Friday October 3 at 6pm to Saturday October 4th, we are discussing the correlation between the flame that is inside of us and the stewarding of the physical fire that we will keep burning for 24 hours. Paul tells Timothy the three elements of the spiritual fire of God’s Presence within: the flame, honorable and dishonorable elements like gold, silver, wood, and clay (the fuel), as well as the breath of God (the oxygen). We need all three for the flame to continually be ‘fanned into flame’ because we have all received gifts from God. God has generously given us so much, and it’s our responsibility to steward those gifts. 08-31-25A consistent illustration for the presence of God throughout the bible has been fire. Even the interaction of the Israelites with God was like a fire, dubbed their “consuming fire.” Too often, the church today is more like a pilot light that is flickering under the wind of the world, instead of burning like the light that we are called to be. As we gather, we fan into flame others around us through prayer, worship, encouragement, community, and the Word. 08-24-25There is an ancient orientation of our hearts that sometimes gets lost in all the good works we do. It’s the central desire of our hearts. It’s the deepest longing of who we are to simply be with Jesus. We are strengthened in the LORD by spending time with Him, not just hours on end like a monk, but by taking the attention of our mind and our heart throughout the day to be turned towards God. When we pay attention to who He is and what He is doing, it allows our hearts to burn again. The love that we had at first often gets stifled by an increase of knowledge; let’s return to our first love, stirring our hearts in response to all that God has done. Let us not give responsibility to others for the lack of passion; let us not blame church hurts, busyness, or what others have done to us to dictate our love for God. The slow burn of our hearts is to manage our affections for God over our difficulties and distractions. 08-17-25More and more, our generation cries out for more freedom and more liberties. It is within our human nature to want to be free creatures with the autonomy to chase our own dreams and pursue whatever our hearts desire. However, the bible has some ideas of what it means to be “love-slaves” of Jesus. The early church apostles and many others in church history understood something about the nature of slavery that is lost on us today. In the worldly sense, slavery to earthly masters is seen as detestable and cruel. However, slavery to Jesus is ultimate freedom! 08-10-25Life is indeed a journey that seems long, but we are reminded in Scripture that it is short compared to eternity and that eternity in our hearts is exactly how we should live this life on earth. Without vision, we tend to die a little on the inside; we lose hope, become discouraged, and our hearts dull a bit. No matter the detours, delays, and the beautiful mountain top experiences your journey has taken you on, a heart that is on fire for Jesus is what the journey is really all about. On the Road to Emmaus, two men have this experience. With some disappointment over their expectations, they are saddened, but they encounter Jesus, who opens the scriptures, and they find later that their hearts had been burning. Does your heart burn, is it flickering, or is it just down to an ember? 08-03-25We call Jesus “Lord, Lord” but often still live like we’re in charge. We make our own plans, chase our own dreams, and ask God to bless our will instead of submitting to His. We treat Jesus like a great Rabbi with helpful advice, but not as KYRIOS—Master, Owner, Supreme Authority. Jesus taught that many will be surprised on judgement day because they picked and chose good works without full obedience to Him. We build on sand when we do what initially feels good, avoid hard obedience, and stay in control—but the storm always comes. We find unshakable joy, peace, and freedom when we build on the rock and do what He says, even when it’s hard. 07-20-25Hebrews 13:8 reminds us that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. From the dawn of creation, God knew humanity would stray from Him and face evil. The incredible news is that through His grace and boundless love, God ensured we wouldn’t have to endure this separation forever. Before time even began, Jesus made promises and provided for us, anticipating our every need. And God, rich in mercy, also reveals the ultimate fate of evil for all eternity. 07-13-25Jesus is our savior and redeemer. Because Jesus has saved us from our sins, we can live a changed life. We can walk in the newness of life. Thayer’s Greek Lexicon defines newness of life as “ the new state (of moral life) in which the Holy Spirit places us, Romans 7:6When we think of superheroes we think of someone that intervenes in life threatening situations and rescues someone from imminent peril, often at great risk to themselves. Christianity is much the same. Jesus intervenes in the lives of His people rescuing them and bringing them into a relationship with God the Father so that they can fulfill His purpose and plans. To understand Jesus’ role as Savior, we must understand our own desperate situation. All of humanity has sinned against God, rebelling, and living our lives, independent, from the God who is the source of life. Jesus saves us from the penalty of sin, redeems us out of Satan’s power and restores us to God’s original purpose and plan. 07-06-25This message explores the reality that many of us live in invisible “prisons”—fear, shame, addiction, self-reliance, or emotional wounds—that shape how we think, act, and relate to God. In these places of struggle, we often respond in one of two ways: spiral in despair or strive in our own strength. But the deeper invitation is to ask, “Who is God?” and learn to walk by faith, not by sight. God is not just a concept or theology—He’s a Father, Comforter, and Provider who meets us in our need. He is Compassion. Trusting Him means anchoring our lives not in our feelings or circumstances, but in His unchanging character.
