Pickup Truck Swept Away By Raging Floodwaters After Texas Rescue

Uvalde County, Texas – Texas Game Wardens responded to multiple swiftwater rescue calls in South Texas counties. In Uvalde County west of Sabinal, the occupants of a vehicle were rescued shortly before the pickup truck was swept away by powerful floodwaters. Dramatic footage showed a white pickup truck stranded on a flooded roadway as strong currents rushed around the vehicle. The truck was then carried away downstream by the force of the water. Texas Game Wardens said they will continue responding to calls and working with emergency management partners to protect Texans. Officials urged people to monitor local forecasts, follow instructions from local officials, and never drive through flooded roadways. The warning remains: “Turn Around, Don’t Drown.”
