Pinocchio, much like the Fool in the Tarot, is pure potential. He shows how it is possible to do the right thing, or the wrong thing in the present moment. This archetype is about choices in a youthful honesty. It is a card that represents creativity too. It is referenced as such in many books. Modern Tarot books suggest it is a great card to show up in a reading. It suggests that you are beginning an adventure and to have fun and just go for it. It may suggest to approach a creative project in an innocent and unconscious way. All of the reasoning for this archetype reminds me of the lives of young children. They should be encouraged and supported to just go for it. They are creative and naive. Perhaps the journey of the Tarot, the heroes journey is supposed to begin in the early years. Imagine how far humanity would advance if this was the case.
