The Pipeman interviews Walter from Stabbing Westward. It’s been 21 years since a full length project dropped. The new album is called Chasing Ghosts out March 18th. Things changed a bit for sound since the self-titled album. Walter grew up on industrial music. They started working again in 2014. This is the first project done in 21 years. Has the essence of the older works. You must make music because you love it no just about the money. They played Hotel banquet halls in the past years. Now there is some many ways to share and touch new fans. What was wished for back then is now what is happening. Stabbing Westward came out on Columbia records. They now release on cop International. It’s a team tailored made for them. It’s a more authentic product and not diluted with managers, product managers and label A&Rs. They took the pandemic as an opportunity to perfect the songs. It was originally going to come out a year ago. It allowed them to take their time and get the right people on the project. Walter thinks music has been great the last couple of years. He’s excited about a lot of new music their own. Real musician ship is coming back to the forefront. With modern music songs really don’t feel finished. Now with the pandemic it created time to flush ideas out. Music is heading back on track. You can connect with hem on all social media platforms and all streaming platforms. Bandcamp has become a real home place for their music and merch. Walter is really excited for people to hear the record. Christopher his partner since the beginning. March 18th Chasing Ghosts is out.
