PipemanRadio Interviews David Ellefson about The Lucid, The Raven, Dwellers

from Pipeman's Power of Music · host Talk 4 Radio

The Pipeman interviews David Ellefson. Pipeman loves the song Deaths of Disappear. Trying to get 4 guys from all over to do a video for every song is hard enough. Any time David could be in a room with guys creating is preferred. There’s an energy playing in the room together. They were cutting the record for Lucid; David was playing bass. They all flew out to LA to work in the drummer’s studio. When making records it’s a conversation that last forever. Young musicians should get into the same room and create. Young people always drive the future of music. A lot of composing is digitally done. Rock bands do still exist. Hence why David made an alternative pop rock album. The Lucid is very much a covid record. It was mainly created during that time. This record allowed them to be in the room together to create and record. Pipeman gets the 80s and 90s vibes that isn’t around right now. The Raven is the ultimate in doing remote. Most drummers have come from the jazz scene. Then they moved to a more rock. Gar Samulelson had that and how he transitioned to metal genre. Megadeth are very contracted riffs. They spent everyday and a lot of time perfecting the music. Its cool the Fat Opera 3 is on Combat Records. When the opportunity came up to re-launch that label that was where David wanted to do it. Combat Records was the house Megadeth built. Dwellers are a movie. David did a cameo in the movie. His part was in Springfield Illinois. Drew has great humor. To help produce the film was an honor. It was cool to work with Drew on music and a film. You can connect with them on all social media platforms. Davidellefson.com is great for all purposes. Ellefson Merch is available to.
