The Pipeman interviews Matt from Day of Departure. Day of Departure has a new single. Day of Departure is a project that was born out of a passion to explore different musical influences. His current band he plays in is call Brave, a progressive rock band. It was an opportunity to create a single narrative throughout the songs. It’s a risk to put out new music and not tour to support it. During this project they did most of the recording remotely. They weren’t constrained by time and finances during this process due to the pandemic and the approach of recording remotely. They couldn’t be happier with he ends product. Giving the amount of time to devote to it added to executing the vision they had. The album comes out on March 25th. The single has a video available on YouTube.
