PipemanRadio Interviews I Fight Bears at Bloodstock Open Air 2022

from Pipeman's Power of Music · host Talk 4 Radio

On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks with Drew from I Fight Bears live at Bloodstock Festival in Derbyshire, UK. Straight off the bat, Pipeman loves the band name and says he wanted to go see them as soon as he saw the name, but unfortunately he missed it because he was stuck in the media tent all day. Speaking about their music, as the name might suggest, they don’t take themselves too seriously, and they just want people to enjoy themselves and have fun. They try to incorporate a bit of comedy to the band. This leads to a conversation about the potential of having a live bear on stage with them. Speaking about the name, Drew says they were actually struggling to come with a name and were toying with Atlas, but they found there was a million bands with the name. It actually came to them when they were watching the movie the Revenant when a friend said you should call yourself I Fight Bears and the rest is history. Drew says the performance at Bloodstock was scary and exhilarating, saying he was nervous before he saw the stage but when he seen it, it was like just another gig so he was able to get into the zone and get the crowd vibing with them. Finally, Drew talks about how they got onto the line up for Bloodstock by going through the Metal to the Masses competition. They don’t usually enter competitions but felt it was a good chance to plug their ep, but they kept getting through the rounds and eventually won it in the endBe sure the check the guys out on their social media platforms, particularly Facebook, Twitter Instagram and YouTube, which you will be able to find by searching I fight Bears Band, You should also be able to find the merch store which is the best way to support the band Pipeman's Power of Music is a music and interview segment of The Adventures of Pipeman Radio Show (#pipemanradio) and from The King of All Festivals while on The Pipeman Radio Tour.
