On this episode of The Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman is joined by K FlayAt Riot Fest! K Flay talks to us about the heat at Riot Fest and how she wishes it were 64 degrees every time she was playing a set however she states that there’s something about the energy of being physically hot that takes your performance to a new level and makes it more potent. K Flay speaks to us about how playing at a festival during the day robs you of build in atmosphere like lights, dark, closed rooms and intimate vibes but how grateful she is that she got to perform during the day at Riot Fest as she feels as though it grew her character and she’s gaining the experience of being able to put on a compelling show without the built in atmosphere. Pipeman and K Flay discuss the difference between excitement and anxiety and how complacency is the enemy of our society. K Flay shares some information with us about her new ep that’s coming out called ‘Inside Voices’ and explains how it is an expression of the impulsive, rash and aggressive side to her personality, the side of a woman that society hushes. K Flay mentions how her and Tom Morello grew their friendship and how she’s so excited for his feature on her new ep! K Flay talks about her plans for the future and how she is going on a headline tour at the end of January 2022. K Flay also shares some final advice to just be yourself. She states that when you’re authentically yourself you can never make a wrong move and life is too complicated anyways so you shouldn’t make it more complicated for yourself. Pipeman and K Flay agree that transparency and honesty are so liberating and being true to yourself is just a free way to live.
