PipemanRadio Interviews L.A. Guns

from Pipeman's Power of Music · host Talk 4 Radio

On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks to Phil Lewis from L.A. Guns who are going to come out with some new music, still managing to come up with new material 40 years later. Phil talks about how he wouldn’t change a thing about the peaks and lows of that time, and he feels they’re making the best music of any band from that era. The new album Checkered Past drops on November 15th, which brings Pipeman back to the early days, but with the added bang of the pandemic. Phil also speaks about the need for quality still to be in the music and the writing and how Tracii Guns always gives him something which is as good as it can be, and Phil returns that favour. Pipeman brings up how in the new Paul McCartney documentary, Paul felt he was just playing with some bloke named John but now he feels like wow, I was playing with John Lennon. Moving back to the album, Phil speaks about how the running order was the last thing to come together and how it was made differently to normal with having to do everything remotely. Check out the website laguns.net, you can also check them out all over social media, and Phil also reveals a full summer tour of the States next year coming to a state near you!Pipeman's Power of Music is a music and interview segment of The Adventures of Pipeman Radio Show (#pipemanradio) and from The King of All Festivals while on The Pipeman Radio Tour.
