The Pipeman interviews a French composer Vivien from Lalu. Lalu makes progressive style metal music. He released his first album in 2005. This new album is his 3rd album. His father was a guitar play and singer and mother were a keyboard player. Doing cover songs from YES and other bands. He grew up all around progressive music. 80s had a big influence on his music today. The moog synthesizer was in his living room growing up. The new album is called Paint the Sky in February. The singer Damon writes the lyrics. Juke is his guitarist. Jamie on the drums. He also mixed the album. He really wanted to have a main band. Some parts of the album have other musicians. Steve Walsh participated. Musicians in metal are not as ego driven as other genres. The most important is to have your own voice in music. You can connect to Lalu on all social media platforms @vivlalu. The album is release January 21st, 2022. It will be on all streaming platforms. A lot of bands are in the studio again and forced them to be creative again during this pandemic. The new record is upbeat. The last songs are called We are strong and close the album out with a positive note.
