On this episode of The Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman interviews a rock band duo named Satellite Citi. Pipeman didn’t think it was just a duo. When Citi plays live they have additional players come join them on stage. When producing and writing its just the duo. On stage they dress the other members up as astronauts. Pipeman played drums for 9 years. The singer of the band plays drums while singing. They learned how to do that with practice and learning how to write around the drums. The new record dropped this past Friday named Fear Tactics produced by Brad Wood, who worked with smashing pumpkins and placebo. They wanted to make a high energy rock record. They are trying to bring back the musicianship in music. Twentyone pilots are not rock music says Satellite Citi. Citi did a song called antibody with Brandon from Crobot. They did this record during quarantine. Satellite Citi pushing the narrative of Mental Health. That was the over lining theme throughout the record. Fear Tactics is all about overcoming your fears and don’t be afraid to reach out for help. They donated some of the proceeds to the charity The Sweet musicians fund, which help musicians who are going through rough times. They partnered up with a mental health podcast called Check Your Head. Citi are Armenian Americans. Satellite can be reached on all social media @SatelliteCiti.
