PipemanRadio Interviews Schmier of Destruction

On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks to Schmier from Destruction known as one of the big 4 of German Thrash Metal. Destruction are about to release their new live Blu-ray called Live Attack on August 13th. Pipeman begins by reminiscing on the first Destruction album Sentence of Death he bought which he bought just for how the band looked. They talk about the cultish song Reject Emotions and how it is the first time thet did it live in many years since it was written as a 4-piece song and can’t be done with double axes. They talk about the what it was like being in a digital world during the pandemic as Destruction livestreamed a performance to their fans and how it has changed from back in the 80’s. Both agree life was better in a time with no social media and no internet. They also discuss the upcoming Hellfest, which they think will be the biggest heavy metal line up in history.
