Pod 366, Ep. 161: Spring Has Sprung and Weird Movies Are Pollinating

Spring is in the air, and so are weird movies, leaving Greg, Giles, and Pete with lots of soon-to-bloom weird movies to preview. First up, it's three on-the-horizon projects: a Kickstarter for a new Bill Plympton music video, a piscine project from India, and a animation/documentary hybrid from the Iranian diaspora. In theaters, you can easily check out the absurd action of "They Will Kill You" at your local cineplex, although you may have to search harder for the mystical "Revelations of Divine Love." If you're in NYC you can catch the new restoration of Bruno Bozzetto's classical music animation anthology "Allegro non troppo," and even see it paired with "Fantasia" (we hope this screening presages a national tour and upcoming physical media release for this underseen classic). Finally, we cover 3 new physical media releases: animated series "Scott Pilgrim Takes Off," strange slasher "Cat Sick Blues," and Radu Jude's "Bad Luck Banging or Loony Porn."
