Igor Štiks je bosanskohercegovački i hrvatski pisac i politički filozof, profesor i saradnik Univerziteta u Edinburghu, kao i profesor na Fakultetu za medije i komunikacije u Beogradu. Napisao je četiri romana, od kojih je "Elijahova stolica" (2006.) preveden na 15 jezika, i nagrađen brojnim književnim nagradama, kao i nagrada BITEF-a 2011. godine za najbolju predstavu (čija je adaptacija rađena po romanu). Doktorirao je u Čikagu i Parizu, a sada je objavio i svoj 4. roman pod nazivom "W", svojevrstan politički triler.
