PODCAST: Episode 1005 - Thomas Jäger of Monolord on "Neverending" - Working with Sylvia Massey, and More

from Ghost Cult Magazine Podcast · host Ghost Cult Magazine

Keefy caught up with Gothenburg, Sweden's Sludge/Doom leaders Monolord for a new interview. The band just released their excellent new album "Neverending" via Relapse Records. Over their thirteen years as a band, they have continued to raise the bar and challenge themselves, and "Neverending" is no different. The band worked with legend Sylvia Massy, known for her work with Tool, System of a Down, and Johnny Cash, which pushed them into new, yet still heavy territory. Thomas talked about the process, the more personal bent of the album's lyrics, and working with Swedish Death Metal legend and former Entombed bassist Jörgen Sandström (also of Grave, Domedagen, and Firespawn).
