By the time your podcast has been running for a while, you probably have a process. You know when you record, how much prep you usually need, what kind of episodes you tend to make, and how the whole thing moves from idea to published episode. The problem is that a process can keep functioning long after it stops working particularly well for you.That can look like recording taking three times longer than the finished episode, defaulting to interviews or solo episodes because they feel easier, over-preparing because you’re struggling to get through an outline, or doing every part of an episode one at a time instead of batching the work. None of those things automatically mean your process is wrong.
