Podcasting Vocal Pointers

from Delaware Blogger Podcast · host Antionette Blake

Today on the Delaware Blogger Podcast, I am sharing a few tips that I read when it comes to your vocals or voice...podcast vocal pointersGrant it, we don’t all have the “perfect” radio or podcasting voice and many of us will admit to “hating the sound of our voice” but you have to remember, that to some your voice may be perfect and to others not so much.  As a matter of fact I was watching an episode of the Odd Couple and Felix was trying to help Mirna, Oscar’s secretary change her nasely voice - what he didn’t realize, her boyfriend loved her voice and everyone in her family sounded the same way - so where you might feel that you have a nasally voice - someone else may love it!Now unless you are a professional DJ or voiceover artist, you don’t need to enunciate everything perfectly you want to be conversational and casual more like a friend unless your podcast is a narrated documentary then that’s a different story and I won’t be talking about that on today’s show. When you are speaking try to do so as clearly as possible especially if you have a thick accent.1. Experiment  – record, listen, modify2. Don’t Fake the Funk - communicate emotions and feelings3. Stand while you are recording4. Practice breathing5. Review the script6. Slow down and take a pauseListen to the entire episode and if you have any questions, please leave a comment and or a review of today's show.  You can find and follow me on all my social media platforms at https://linktr.ee/delbloggerSign up for a 15-min complimentary Discovery Call or enroll in the Podcasting Your Purpose Coaching sessions.  You can also inquire about sponsorships and ads by sending an email to [email protected] Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/delawareblogger/messageSupport the showIf  you are ready to start a podcast and need assistance, please send an email to [email protected] and you can find and follow me on all my social media platforms at https://linktr.ee/ablakeenterprises
