In our very first episode we discuss the difference between the positive psychology flourishing approach to mental health and the disease model in mental health.  This is the first in a six part series which will also include five primary aspects of positive psychology that lead to flourishing: PERMA: Positive Emotions, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning and Accomplishments.  We will explore each of these in our initial six part series.Charla Christy, PCC and Melissa Eisenbrandt, ACC are ICF credentialed coaches.  Charla is also a biblical counselor trained at the Christian Counseling & Education Foundation (CCEF) at Westminster Seminary.  We are not licensed counselors or psychotherapists therapists.  We are discussing our thoughts, opinions, beliefs and ideas for practical application on many issues.  Anything shared in this podcast should not be taken as  professional medical or mental health advice, nor is it a substitute for medical expertise or treatment.  If you are concerned for yourself or someone you love please seek out appropriate professional medical advice.
