About twenty years ago, Dr Schmirler started studying at the university as a student. Soon as years passed by, he realized his passion for Statistics and his profound love for numbers. He has submerged himself into never-ending knowledge. After his Master’s thesis, he decided to further pursue his education for his PhD and then his postdoctoral education. As he taught classes such as STAT 242 and STAT 345, he worked towards curating resources and teaching materials for students that are easy to comprehend. When he looks back on his experiences as a student, he knows both sides of the spectrum and understands students’ needs. We would like to thank PhD Schmirler for being very down to Earth and kind on sharing his experiences with us. This journey must have been filled with bumps but we are very grateful of having him at our university.
