She began her career as a professional nanny, and in 2008, she was named Nanny of the Year by Family Helpers, and the following year she was selected as a finalist for ABC’s America’s Supernanny. After becoming a mother herself at just 19, Kristin experienced firsthand how emotional and demanding the postpartum period can be, and how critical it is for parents to feel supported during that time. Motivated by that experience, she trained as a birth and postpartum doula in 2009 and then founded Nightingale Night Nurses in 2015. She later expanded the agency nationally, rebranded to Well Supported Family, and has since grown into a multi-million dollar agency, serving thousands of families per year in 14 states and counting.Kristin also serves as Executive Director of the Newborn Care Specialist Association, where she supports initiatives around education, certification, professional standards, and industry regulation.Connect With Kristin SmithWebsiteInstagramWhere to find MeFacebookMom Chat ShowBe A Guest
