And specific to this day, we have the authenticate Odia delicacy Enduri Pitha, which is a delicious pancake sweetened stuff (prepared from scrubbed coconut and jaggery) filled inside, and wrapped in turmeric leaf. This is very very specific to my place, and this year the price of turmeric leaves were too high since yesterday. Thankfully, I got this at a reasonable price at very early morning from a farmer selling it directly. She got up at 5 am and started the preparations. My duty was to supply all the items, but rest all she took care and served us the mind blowing Enduri Pitha with curry. I like it so much that, I brought a lot of turmeric leaves so that this will continue for some days. Apart from the taste, turmeric has health benefits and believe me the aroma of the Enduri Pitha gets better as the leaves become older turning yellow. Sounds interesting, isn't it ? For the first time I got flowers from my plants, as it was very early morning and I did not want to go out and buy them. Unwrap the leaf and you can't wait till you finish and ask for more.
