Praying with a foundation

Listen to what Jesus says in ““Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and don’t do the things I say? I will show you what someone is like who comes to me, hears my words, and acts on them: He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. When the flood came, the river crashed against that house and couldn’t shake it, because it was well built. But the one who hears and does not act is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The river crashed against it, and immediately it collapsed. And the destruction of that house was great.””‭‭Luke‬ ‭6‬:‭46‬-‭49‬ ‭CSB‬‬Everything built requires a foundation!For the believer our foundation is Christ! He is our solid rock! When the winds and waves of life come crashing in when the kingdom of darkness appears as a rip-tide in our life BC OF JESUS WE CAN AND WILL REMAIN UPRIGHT! *Your prayers should be built on the Foundation of God’s word! Repeat after me: I am to mirror God’s word in my life. *Before you pray scripture, read the verses before and after the verse you’re praying inorder to have context.Why should you pray scripture? - Because if you’re not standing on Christ then it’s possible you might be trying to stand upon your wishes!*PRAYER IS NOT MEANT TO BRING YOUR WISHLIST INTO REALITY. IT’S MEANT TO ALIGN YOUR REALITY WITH THE REALITY OF HEAVEN! - AKA “ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN!” When you pray scripture You are no longer trying to convince God of your viewpoint, you are now coming into agreement with His viewpoint/ His reality! - REALIGNMENT HAPPENS*EVERY PROBLEMATIC AREA IN YOUR LIFE SHOULD BE A PRAYER POINT!Example:

• Problematic area: Needing provision/Finances/Lack/check to check
  • Scriptures:
    • 2Cor 3:8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
    • Matthew 7:11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!
    • Psalm 23:1 The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
    • Psalm 34:10 The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.
    • Matthew 6:31&31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.

Health scripture (mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually)

• John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
• Psalm 30:2 O LORD my God, I cried to you for help, and you have healed me.
• Psalm 143:7 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
• Isaiah 41:10 fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
• Isaiah 55:2 But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.
• 1 Peter‬ ‭2‬:‭24‬ ‭NLT‬‬ “He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed.
• 3 John 2 Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul.
