Pre-Trial: Lally's Cheeks

from ReTrial Hosted by Hometown Media 1620

Did you catch the February 6th motions hearing in Dedham District court? Well, if you did, you might have been just as uncomfortable as the rest of us as both Alan Jackson and Hank Brennan agreed that the dumpster fire before them was delivered by an unspecified predecessor. As ADA Adam Lally sat there, I prayed for the camera to zoom in, however.....no such luck. Welcome to another episode of Retrial....where we discuss the on-going shenanigans before trial 2.0. Will the motion for cost recovery be approved? IS there still Sally Port video out there? Does Lally need an ice pack for those glutes? Yikes.

Four people were killed inside an apartment building. A fifth person survived. What followed was an investigation that initially moved in several different directions before focusing on two neighbors: Olindo Romano and Rosa Bazzi. The couple were arrested, questioned and eventually convicted of the four murders. Their convictions became final in 2011. But years later, their lawyers asked the courts to reopen the case, arguing that new evidence and alternative interpretations of existing evidence could undermine the original convictions. In 2024, the Court of Appeal of Brescia rejected the request for a retrial. In March 2025, Italy's Supreme Court rejected the couple's appeal against that decision. This episode follows the entire story: the night of the murders, the investigation, the evidence, the confessi The Menendez Brothers: Victims or Villains Podcast Fox News Podcasts In the brothers' retrial, a new prosecution strategy is aided by a judge more amenable to ruling in favor of the D.A. the second time around.
