Aportrait is an electronic music producer driven by process as much as sound. Working through real-time mixing and intuitive sampling, his productions embrace raw signal chains, distortion, and human imperfection as essential elements rather than flaws. His music balances the functional energy of club music with a deeper, introspective atmosphere, where groove becomes a tool for emotional depth as much as movement. ‘Lost Tapes’ is a 26-track album that challenges the short-form focus of the streaming era, presenting a unified body of work built to be experienced in full. Spanning recordings made over several years alongside new material, the project brings together previously physical-only releases and unreleased cuts into a cohesive flow. Rather than a compilation, Lost Tapes stands as a living archive, capturing multiple moods, spaces, and states of club culture. Rooted in the lineage of Detroit machine soul, Chicago house functionality, and the exploratory spirit of the London underground, the album prioritizes texture, instinct, and immediacy.
