The opening pair, “Midsummer Sunrise” and “Heatwaves,” sit closer to peak-groover territory, while “Acid House in the Countryside” and “Midsummer Sunset” hit a more reflective, late-day zone with their unique vibe. Rather than aiming for straight nostalgia, the record filters late ’80s and early ’90s acid house influences through a cleaner, modern production style. There are hints of Balearic looseness throughout, with the EP’s summer theme tying together its brighter club moments.
