Out March 21st 2025. Buy here : https://art-house.bandcamp.com/album/c1m3r4 Traian Chereches aka Cher delivers his new EP ‘C1M3R4_Analog cut_v3’ to inaugurate his Arthouse imprint this March. TC Studio was initiated by the duo (Traian Chereches + Matei tulbure) who toured together at respected clubs/events such as ARMA 17 and Fuse, as well as releasing original material and a collab with with the much revered Onur Ozer. The pair are now currently working together with Placidum’s Schaa as Nocturnal Solutions. Beyond this Traian has also collaborated with artists such as Rhadoo (upcoming on secret society Chile with remixes from Cabanne and Edward) and released on powerhouse Cocoon for TINI'S mix, Be chosen and Body parts. With his multidisciplinary work Cher explores the collapse of the current world and the emergence of new forms from the ruins. His work moves through shifting temporalities, imagining a post-ecological breakdown where destruction and re-creation coexist. Using symbols like masks, spines, and wombs, he depicts an evolving theater of endurance and transformation. Rooted in the toxicity of Romania’s waste crisis, his practice repurposes discarded materials and personal memories into hybrid ecosystems, reflecting the mutations, shaping our world and prefiguring monstrous futurities. Opening this musical project is ‘Pharmakon’, fuelled by murky bass swells, saturated drums and airy pad lines before ‘Poison’ shifts gears towards a shuffled rhythm section, breathy vocal chants and spiralling echoes, intertwined with gritty bass stabs and ethereal textural elements. ‘Modify Me’ is up next, stripping things back to a raw, reduced state with snaking sub bass tones, eerie resonant synth lines, subtle dub stabs and low-slung drums. ‘Night Sentinel’ then ups the energy levels again with twitchy resonant synths, weighty low end tones, hypnotic vocal like melodies and crisp drums ebbing and flowing amongst one another across its thirteen minute duration. ‘34’ then leans into jazz glitch territory with oscillating synths, smooth keys, modulating percussive clicks before ‘Marketplace Spirituality’ concludes the EP, laying down a percussive led-groove alongside bouncy bass stabs and sporadic synth sweeps.
