He learnt to produce music during covid lockdown periods and has been refining his sound for over 5 years. Cwrw has been a resident with local party Cynt from 2023 which has been running for over 17 years. He spent many of his formative years going to parties / events and festivals around Cardiff and the UK. The deep house sound 2012 - 2014 was a key gateway era to discovering other areas of electronic music. A few key influences includes Bristol club Motion, Jacobs Basement in Cardiff, the Rainbow Venues formerly of Birmingham and friends over the last 15 years. As a producer DJ Cwrw is focuses on making music that translates to the club / party environment usually with a 4tothefloor kick, groovy bassline often punctuated by catchy vocal samples and lovely bleep bloop sounds. Cwrw is always looking to move forward as a producer making house and techno that blurs between genres. The Love Drug EP takes a strong influence from labels such as Running Back, Permanent Vacation and Phantasy Sound. Each has a unique catalogue of leftfield house / techno and everything in between. The title track Love Drug has a strong leading vocal, rolling bassline, punchy drums with a slightly minimal feel. This track was developed and changed a number of times over a few months. Pumping Pads has a class off beat bassline that carries the track throughout with a deep 4x4 kick. The tracks gives an emotive feel with uplifting pads and could be used either at peak time or to close. Finally is Release with lots of forward momentum and recognisable vocal making it a perfect track for peak time on the dance floor.
