Founded as a platform for London based producer and DJ Otik’s own productions, Solar Body is now expanding its vision and opening its doors to allow space for other acts to shine through. The debut release, out November 21st, comes from Italian producer Endrew (real name Andrea Filippo Ilardo). The title track ‘8AM’ sinks deep into moody, hazy early hours territory, sluggish, dark, and hypnotic. On the flip ‘Can You Feel’ it blurs the sensibilities between genres, broken and distorted perfect for a switch up or change in mood during a set. “I’ve been using Solar Body as an outlet for my own productions until now, but this release marks the beginning of a new era. I discovered Endrew when he debuted on Shed’s label Upfront Copy back in 2023”, says Otik, the Solar Body label head. “I’ll be releasing music from a bunch of artists I love moving forward. The plan is to expand the Solar Body universe with forward-thinking electronic music and eventually, club nights too.” The 8AM EP showcases Endrew’s polished and mature approach to production, a perfect accompaniment to an already established discography for the label.
