Deep house legend Franck Roger returns to Vibe Me To The Moon for a second sophisticated EP. The accomplished Frenchman serves up a trio of timeless tracks for Nightsteppaz's cultured NYC imprint. Franck Roger has long been integral to deep house. A dedicated crate digger and master beat maker, he's been defining the genre for more than 20 years with timeless tracks on his own Home Invasion as well as cult outlets like Nu Groove Records and more. He has made an art of deepness with supple grooves and tactile synths that are meticulously crafted and perfectly reduced. He has already served up his ‘Can U Believe EP’ and a remix of Nightsteppaz on this label this year and now backs it up with another standout offering. Opener ‘The Truth’ distils everything that makes Roger’s sound so compelling — sultry spoken word, warm, late-night pads, and elegantly slinky drums that ease their way into both body and mind. It’s a masterclass in mid-tempo house, elevated by rich, immersive sound design and an emotional undercurrent that lingers long after the dancing stops. ‘The Calling’ follows with elastic rhythms and a celestial blend of painterly pads and twinkling melodies.
