What began as a chance encounter at a local event led to Claire recording her vocals with none other than Neil Davidge—best known as the producer behind Massive Attack’s Mezzanine era, including the seminal track Teardrop. The result is a piece that fuses intricate sound design with a deeply emotive core, blurring the lines between electronic dance music and cinematic trip-hop vibes. The remix package built around this core showcases the breadth of Bristol’s underground scene, with each local artist offering their own spin, none of which lean on traditional four-to-the-floor rhythms. Forsaken—long-time staple of the city’s dubstep heritage and friend of the artists for over 20 years—delivers a version steeped in low-end pressure and percussive depth, pulling from his deep roots as Soul Motive’s label head.
