JKriv returns to Rocksteady Disco after a six-year break with his stunning ‘Adaptation EP’. This super solid five tracker continues J's hot streak on seemingly every great label around the world including his own Razor-N-Tape, with a deep organic sound, thanks to it being mostly produced in his MPC3000 era. 'Greene Street Lament' kicks it off on a boom bap beat tip. Next 'Adaptation' gets the party started with lush strings, piano, and a huge bassline. On the flip is 'Total Pleasure', a midtempo boogie house joint with enough sub to rattle your car door handles off. 'Vibetown' continues on the MPC tip with killer breaks and chops for all the heads. Lastly, the 'Adaptation (Dub)' closes out with the driving dance floor sound we all know and love JKriv for.
