Down under we look today for our premiere on Melbourne based label, Aythekos. They’ve joined forces with Liam Costar, for a new long player titled, Pertinax (month 1). Rounding out the release are three remixes by LSS, Anthony Linell, and Claudio PRC. To Live, To Perish gets the Claudio PRC treatment as the Italian artist applies his signature spiraling take. Heavy, driving percussion keeps the energy high while the bass line worms its way in between, keeping the listener entranced. Saw like synths grind over the top, providing a nice range of movement so as to not let anything get too stale. Not that it could ever, Claudio’s remixes and originals rarely seem to drag on, we could listen to them for hours, and have!
