PREMIERE: Minjoon - Chiaro [Initiate Records]

Call and response, ebb and flow. This concept of Chiaroscuro or strong, bold, contrasts between shadow and brightness. The affect can, and does... define so many releases. How common, is a theme that we can all identify but may not name immediately. For what it’s worth, it does make wonderful moments. And so we arrive here, with Minjoon, and in turn what Initiate Records are using as an idea and artistic focus all the better, as they play with the notion of musical freedom and let their friends and artists they trust, define themselves under an idea rather than defined sound. Minjoon’s contribution to this series will be released on the 14th of June.
