Curated for the late-blooming, ugly duckling disco dollies, this seven-track collection veers through busted club experiments, mutant techno, and haunted house heaters. Each artist pushes dance music into strange, unconventional terrain — unafraid to embrace the peculiar, the abrasive, and sometimes even the ugly. The release features: Thomass Jackson, Argentinian-born and now based in Mexico City, known for releases on Multi Culti and his own Calypso Records dj_2button, UK-born and Vancouver-based, head of the excellent Weirdos Inc imprint; HIGHELECTRiX, the debut project of Lisbon’s XCI, presenting their first-ever track under this moniker; Etbonz, a familiar name to @Bed_of-Roses-1 followers, with previous releases on Love on the Rocks and Bahnsteig 23; @listentomorpheme, a fresh face whose electro-freak-pop debut Collected Pieces recently dropped on EYMS; Wormbox, the collaborative alias of Break Mode and Cole Baby, names that are all too familiar in BoR world have recent offerings for Paradia Sound, Ransom Note, and Electric Shapes; MagicPink, another Bed Head on the BoR roster, continues to throw more irons into a fire that refuses to be contained. Also recently featured on the Electric Shapes Unreleased Territory vol. 4 Together, they form a crooked constellation of acid-damaged jams and asymmetrical DJ tools.
