From the depths of an unnamed forest come the rhythmic rumblings of Oreste, and his forthcoming long player from the ever incredible Annulled Music imprint. Ranging through a variety of textures, moods, field recordings and more, Oreste has shown his maturity as a producer and the sheer scope of soundscapes that he’s capable of creating. After having supported his music through our Sundays are for selections, we’re incredibly happy to premiere ‘Locus Form’ from Swelling Truth. Starting with a steady, pulsating beat provides a foundation for the entirety of Locus Form. The beats are deliberate, with a hint of tension, creating a sense of forward movement. The rhythmic pattern might be reminiscent of a heartbeat or the ebb and flow of water, reinforcing the hypnotic quality of the music. On top of this structure, the saw-like synth is steady in its presence providing a growling energy just sitting below the surface. Locus Form and the rest of Swelling Truth will be released on the 3rd of November by Annulled Music.
