Premiere: Retter - Identificacción [W133014]

"How could we start 2026 better than with a stunning 6 track EP including original work and remixes by 3 amazing artists originating from 3 continents? We are super happy to have Colombian artist Retter debut on W133 and present his „Flight to La Isla Del Encanto“ EP. The 4 original tracks are accompanied by remixes from Italian producer Endrew and NYC’s Martini. The record starts off with „Terq Brown“, a mellow entry into the music, built from ambient structures and repeating synth loops that were recorded again and again with newly incoming percs and FX. A2 then goes into „Sol, Invierno Anestesiado“. A trippy half-stepper with metal pipe sounds which multiple times leaves you wondering where in the beat you are. On the flip side tribally banging Identificacción rumbles in. Pure energy with highly identifiable „identificación“ vocals. The last original by Retter is on B2; „Mand Canderi“. A tension-building stomper perfect for a transition between bass and techno. Last track on the vinyl is Martini’s remix of Mand Canderi. Returning to W133 after multiple releases she brings back her sci-fi sound and tripped out energy. As a digital bonus track we are super happy to welcome long-term friend of both Retter and the label, Endrew, to W133. He built an incredibly Dub Relapse version of „Terq Brown“ with edited vocal shots Retter and him have been exchanging as voice messages. A perfect ending to the musical start of W133 in 2026. „Flight to La Isla Del Encanto“ EP will be out as a 25 vinyl dubplate edition as well as digitally and is complimented by an artwork by Philipp Roth."
