Under the unusual casing of the Schönfeld album are many small cogwheels, whirring drive belts, elastic support straps and clattering cylinder heads that want to push the experimental device towards the dance floor and succeed in doing so. An ant city with a functioning infrastructure from whose towers the trumpet riffs, professionally played by the master himself, resound. The stubborn otherness with the artist's masticating signature is what secures the album a temporary place on my Mp3 player.
