We often think of a conflict as something negative which can lead to an argument but it doesn't have to be that way. In this episode, we discuss how to prepare for a conflict. As you prepare for conflict, know it's a part of the journey. You have to build a strong foundation of communication and trust with your team, establish clear expectations and goals. By taking these measures, you can lessen the conflicts that could arise. You can create an environment where your team members feel comfortable expressing their opinions, thoughts and concerns. Build Strong Communication and Trust: This is the foundation to resolving a conflict; you will use your active listening skills, have an open door policy, and build trust within the workplace. Establish Clear Goals, Roles and Responsibilities: When you are able to set clear expectations, you tend to avoid conflicts. If there’s too much confusion and misunderstandings, unfortunately conflicts will happen. By clarifying what’s going on, you can create a positive work environment.
