Le rôle majeur des muscles On démarre avec quelques chiffres concrets. Les muscles représentent environ 40% de notre poids et contiennent 50 à 75% des protéines de l'organisme. A partir de 30 ans, nous perdons tous de la masse musculaire. Tout l'enjeu c'est de parvenir à conserver au maximum ce fameux pourcentage de 40% tout au long de notre vie.  La protéine principale du muscle s'appelle la myosine. C'est elle qui en se raccourcissant va provoquer la contraction musculaire et la force globale du muscle. On sait qu'il y a deux facteurs majeurs qui favorisent la synthèse de cette protéine. D'abord, les apports nutritionnels et ensuite l'exercice physique. D'ailleurs, l'un ne va pas sans l'autre. Notez que dans 100 grammes de viande on retrouve 20 grammes de protéines. Idem dans 700 millilitres de lait de soja. Par ailleurs, la vitamine D joue un rôle majeur dans la reconstruction musculaire et dans la force de contraction. Des fessiers musclés pour soutenir le dos Les muscles se trouvent dans les moindres recoins de notre corps. Et si on ne devait en citer qu'un ce serait les fessiers ! Les entretenir et les muscler permet de maintenir notre chaine dorsale et posturale. En effet, les fessiers stabilisent le bassin. Ne pas avoir suffisamment de muscles provoque des douleurs à la fois au niveau du dos, des hanches ou encore des genoux.
