President Cyril Ramaphosa has accepted Investigating Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC) Head Advocate Andrea Johnson's request to vacate office. Johnson sought an immediate release from office in a letter to the President and National Director of Public Prosecutions, Advocate Andy Mothibi, citing unprecedented attacks on her personally and in her official capacity. She is under scrutiny following her testimony before the Madlanga Commission, where contradictions, concessions and withdrawals emerged over IDAC's handling of the fraud and corruption case involving Crime Intelligence Head Dumisani Khumalo, Brigadier Dineo Mokwele and others.
