Presidential Immunity Case

from Queer PoliFaith

Welcome to today's episode of Queer PoliFaith. Today, we are starting our look at several SCOTUS decisions from their most recent session. Our first case has to do with Presidential Immunity. It was a doozy of a decision that really made no sense. Roberts tries to cloak his partisanship in high falutin and gauzy language about Consitutional principles. And Thomas writes a particularly bad concurrence. On the 22nd, we'll look at Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo, a case that overturned another precedent that had been around for decades and was the target of the conservative movement and the GOP. Here is the CNN article I talked about where it was revealed how Roberts decided not to even try and save what little remains of the Supreme Court's legitimacy.
