Pressing Toward The Goal: Moving On From Our Own Abilities

Greetings everyone, and may mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you. We will be in Philippians 3 this morning. How far have your accomplishments gotten you in life? I myself have singlehandedly produced a podcast, run most of the technical stuff for our church, and from a vocational perspective, can professionally operate just about any vehicle safely. But these accomplishments and skills are useless when it comes to my salvation. No amount of computer knowledge or machine operating skills will get me to heaven. Our focus shouldn’t be what we can do for the Kingdom, but what God can accomplish through us. By standing by our own abilities, we only glorify ourselves, and accomplish very little.
