Prevention is better than cure!

from Self Improvement

It’s easier to stop something happening in the first place than to repair the damage after it has happened. In the simplest words, ‘prevention is better than cure’ is a way to tell us that it is better to than to avoid contracting an illness have to go around and look for a way to get rid of it. These things that we avoid or indulge in allow us to not have to deal with the dire consequences of unwanted circumstances. This adage if particularly relevant in the context of health, safety, and over all well-being. By adopting preventive strategies, individuals can lead healthier lives and reduce the burden on healthcare systems. Prevention plays a crucial role in various aspects of life. In healthcare, for instance, adopting healthy habits such as regular exercise, a balanced diet, and proper hygiene can significantly reduce the risk of chronic diseases like polio and measles, saving millions of lives and alleviating pressure on healthcare resources. Moreover, preventive measures extend beyond physical health. Mental health is another area where prevention is vital. Managing stress, maintaining a work life-balance, and seeking help when needed can prevent more severe issues like depression and burnout. By prioritizing prevention, individuals can enhance their quality of life and avoid the emotional and financial toll of treating illness after they occur. “While this quote may sound extreme, it underscores the importance of making healthy choices. By avoiding unhealthy habits and choosing preventive measures, we can maintain our health and prevent many diseases.” — Mark Twain The doctor of the future will give no medication, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, diet and in the cause and prevention of disease.” — Thomas A. Edison “Prevention is not just about avoiding problems but also taking responsibility for our actions. By being proactive and taking preventive measures, we can avoid causing harm to ourselves and others.” — Paul Dickson “This quote highlights the importance of taking action sooner rather than later. If we had planted a tree 20 years ago, we could enjoy its shade and benefits today. But if we didn’t, we can still start now and reap the rewards in the future. The same applies to prevention — it’s never too late to start.” — Chinese Proverb Health is better than wealth. peace is better than prosperity. No doubt, wealth and prosperity are required in real life. Without good health and peace of mind even if we have both it does not give satisfaction in real life. Life is like a journey. We should love it and live it in this process. Then only it gives pleasure and satisfaction. It also gives peace of mind. Without peace we can’t lead our life restfully. Without sufficient rest stress and strain will follow and spoil our health in longrun. That’s why we should lead a simple and humble way of living. It is the real gift given by God to all of us. It is in our hands to decide whether we need good health and peace of mind. Once we determine then dedicate to sacrifice and focus more on our desired goals. Goal setting is ultimate. Set a goal and accomplish it. Plan well and perform better and the best. Your effort should be more than your goal. Then only things will happen in reality. Be realistic. Be genuine. Be kind enough with love and affection. Unconditional love gives everthing. Expectations will spoil the relations. We should be in a position to help others. Let us pray The Almighty to give strength by showing our gratitude towards God. It is a God given gift. Life is precious and valuable. Live and let live is the way of living. Then only things will setright in real life. We should commit, concentrate, communicate towards good and create a positive environment to learn and improve on our own makes an impact on us and others as well. It motivates to inspire and empower in our journey.
