[PREVIEW] 🎙🧚‍♀️ #048 - Scream 5

We're returning to the town of death - Woodsboro - because we're just as barmy as Sidney Prescott in this movie (and because we've committed to continue with any past series if a new instalment is released). But seriously - it's a pretty easy decision: A) Living outside of Woodsboro --- no dealing with knife-wielding maniacs ☀️ B) Visiting Woodsboro --- guaranteed dealing with knife-wielding maniacs 🔪 I don't know about Sidney but I'd choose A every time. Because of the knife-wielding maniac aspect. Discussed in this episode: #JusticeForTatum The Hereditary Babadook Witch That Follows Decoding the life story and motivations of one Billy Loomis Esquire Laser peeing The indecisiveness and unreliability of iPhones Long John Dewey Sidney's baby with Scream 3 red herring Patrick Dempsey Stab - the most morally reprehensible, legally impossible fictitious film series since Chubby Rain A truly lovely on-screen mother-son relationship. KILL! Tension through deliberately weird editing Surprise references and hidden cameos galore-ious! Cracking the riddle as to why a particular character is named after Wes Craven Killing spree etiquette: house party - good; declining offers of sex to avoid being alone in a room with a potential psychopath - bad. Sidney's evolution: - now carelessly shooting through closed doors in a house that contains multiple innocent people - still trusting the exact wrong person Typecasting: - Mikey Madison as knife-wielding psychopath who gets horrifically burned - Jenna Ortega as sympathetic kid in wheelchair Natural, graceful, beautiful ageing vs. rubbery, misshapen, alien-autopsy barfage Not receiving medical attention for abdominal stab wounds, or experiencing any pain or tenderness after the initial 1-2 minute twinge (if you want to sync it up to the film, we hit PLAY @ 04:10)
