She also covers the New Orleans Saints for The Saints Wire and is a regular on sports radio in the Crescent City.We talk to Maddy about the incredible turnaround for Tulane, from going 2-10 last season to 11-2 this year, giving the Green Wave their first major bowl bid since 1939. Maddy talks about what head coach Willie Fritz did to reverse his team's fortunes, including making a very late offensive philosophical shift over the summer after the team didn't look as good as he wanted moving the ball in the spring.They also talk about some of the star players for Tulane including running back Tyjae Spears who lead the Green Wave with 212 rushes for 1376 and 15 touchdowns, averaging an impressive 6.5 yards per carry. Quarterback Michael Pratt has also shined in this new offense, completing 64.5% of his passes while throwing for 2776 yards, 25 touchdowns and five interceptions.
