from Judge Mathis Podcast · host Telepictures

First, The plaintiff hired the defendant to paint her car. She argues the defendant did a bad job of painting the vehicle, so she’s suing for a refund, the cost of a car detail, and emotional distress. The defendant says he had to do a lot of work on the car before painting it. He claims he gave her a great deal and she started badmouthing him online after. Then, The plaintiff says he got caught up in the streets when he was young and even robbed a bank, but he has since turned his life around. He’s suing his cousin for the balance due on a car. The defendant says he also ran with the wrong crowd, and he’s countersuing for the balance due on a car. Plus, The plaintiff says she met the defendant on a dating website, and although they were never involved romantically, they were friends and became roommates. She’s suing him for rent and emotional distress. The defendant says he only lived with the plaintiff for 24 days because she’s toxic. He’s countersuing for emotional distress because he says he was fired when the plaintiff contacted his job.
