Grief has many forms and it’s different for all of us, it doesn’t follow any logical pattern, there’s no map or directions, there is only confusion, fear, anger, loneliness, regret, depression, just to name a few of the endless cycle and waves of emotions. Many things cause us feelings of grief, not just the loss of friends and family, we grieve the loss of beloved animal friends, jobs, homes, lifestyles, physical changes, relationships…   As highly sensitive people it's important that we take the time we need to feel our feelings, while not allowing anyone to minimize our emotions or that we try to hide our feelings to placate others. We need to know that there is no such thing as being too emotional and that we are allowed to grieve and process the experience of loss in our own way, at our own pace and in our own time.Coping with Grief and Loss Help GuideSAMHSA’s National Helpline 1-800-662-HELP (4357)
