Prof Ricardo Uvinha - Leisure Research and the Global South

Leader of the Interdisciplinary Group of Leisure Studies and Coordinator of the Brazilian World Leisure Centre of Excellence. Recipient of the University of Sao Paulo Outstanding Teaching Award in 2013 and the George Torkildsen Literary Award in 2023, he is an author from the Global South and published several articles and books about sports, leisure, health promotion and physical activities sciences. Professor Uvinha is a founding member and current Secretary General of The BRICS Council of Exercise and Sports Science.
