Progress Over Perfection

Choose Progress over perfectionism Today's podcast we are choosing progress over being perfect. Your perfectionist trait is holding you back. We were designed to progress and evolve. When you can't leave your house until your hair and makeup is perfect on a daily basis that can create a problem. Okay, so you're not going to start your business until your perfect ideal of what you need or require is obtained. Imagine if Jeff Bezos said I can't start Amazon because what CEO has his office in a garage? These things might appear to be no big deal but not when it affects progress and growth. What can you do if you suffer from a perfectionist trait that's holding you back. First and foremost you have to be aware you have the problem. You can't solve anything you are not aware of. Secondly, you have to work on your perspective. It's okay to have an image of what you want and desire. But if you become rigid with your ideas it is going to hold back. How you see things is everything. Be flexible which means you know what it is you want or what it is you want to be doing. But when you first get started it's usually not going to look how you imagine but you're flexible to know you are working towards that image. The other thing you must give yourself permission not to have to be perfect and allow yourself to go through the necessary process.
