Promising Young Woman

We've got sumthin' a little different this week. It's a heavy, dark, revenge flick, but we PROMISE it's a good one. The recently Oscar-nominated movie, Promising Young Woman, stars Carey Mulligan as Cassandra, a woman who goes out to a different bar or club each night, pretends to get completely knock-down, blackout drunk with the purpose of luring a "nice guy" to take her home. At first, you don't think this is going to be a "costume movie," but it's interesting how Cassandra dresses up in different "disguises'' whenever she's on the prowl — a sharp contrast to the pastel sweaters and dresses she wears during the daytime. Costumes are by Nancy Steiner who did Lost in Translation, The Virgin Suicides, and a ton more. Tune in now!
